Today, on September 7th 2022, the University of Muhammadiyah Malang held a cultural trip for international students to Gili Ketapang island, Probolinggo, East Java. The event was attended by some international students who were registered on the KNB and ASS scholarships and also students who used independent pathways. The event was held to show the beauty and local culture of Indonesia to foreign students, especially so that they can communicate with the local community.
They really enjoyed the event and were very enthusiastic, during the trip we had to stop at the toll road rest area because the bus we were driving had an electrical problem. While waiting they met a group of elementary school children and they invited the group to take pictures and chat. Arriving at the port after changing to a new bus, they looked very happy and relieved. We took a boat to the island and it took about 15 minutes to travel.
Finally, we arrived at Gili Ketapang even though it was not on schedule, we still enjoyed the trip. Then we rushed to the beach and took photos together using drones and local photographers. After that we rushed to change clothes and went by boat again to do snorkeling and swimming in the ocean.
