At its heart, YMAC is a conference for youths in ASEAN to express their thoughts about regional matters, and think of ways to improve the community around them. YMAC also serves as a platform to
promote greater friendship and understanding among youths from the different countries in the region.
Gathering polytechnic and university students from all 10 ASEAN member states, YMAC participants will have to step into the shoes of a minister representing ASEAN. They will then debate on various
economic, security, cultural or environmental issues, and try to come to a consensus on how ASEAN can resolve them. These solutions will be presented to a panel of experts at the end of the
conference.
2014 is a pivotal moment in ASEAN’s history as we move towards realising the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) in 2015. What impact will it have on the region? How will the AEC affect your
generation? What are your views on this?
Join us at YMAC 2014 and let your voices today echo and be the
change for tomorrow.
