LEADERS TOMORROW

Malang, 3 September 2025 — The International Relations Office (IRO) of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) and  Kantor Imigrasi Kelas I TPI Malang recently facilitated the Eazy Intal service, a program initiated by the Directorate General of Immigration, Ministry of Law and Human Rights of East Java. The event took place at the IRO meeting room, located on UMM.

Eazy Intal, short for Easy Immigration for International Students, is a special program designed to simplify immigration procedures, particularly for foreign students pursuing their studies in Indonesia. Instead of requiring students to visit immigration offices directly, the service provides on-site assistance at campuses. This initiative significantly reduces administrative burdens and ensures that international students receive faster, safer, and more convenient immigration services.

During the session at UMM, officers from the Immigration Office assisted students with various documentation processes, including visa extensions and stay permits. The event was attended by a diverse group of international students from different countries who are currently enrolled at UMM. Smiles and enthusiasm filled the room as students were guided step by step through the procedures.

Representatives from the Immigration Office expressed their appreciation for UMM’s cooperation, highlighting the importance of collaboration between higher education institutions and government agencies in supporting foreign students. Meanwhile, the IRO UMM emphasized that providing accessible and efficient services for international students is part of the university’s ongoing commitment to creating a welcoming and supportive academic environment.

With initiatives like Eazy Intal, UMM continues to strengthen its role as a global campus that attracts and supports students from around the world, ensuring that they not only pursue academic excellence but also feel secure and well-assisted throughout their stay in Indonesia.
