What is sUMMit?
sUMMit is UMM Scholarship for International Student assisted by University of Muhammadiyah Malang, provide opportunities for people from developing countries, particularly those countries located in the Asia and Africa, to undertake full time undergraduate, master, and postgraduate study in certain study programs at University of Muhammadiyah Malang.
Scholarship Scheme
⇒ CATEGORY A
►Description
The scholarships awarded are in the form of all educational costs for 8 (eight) semesters for Bachelor (S1) level, 4 (four) for Master’s level (S2), and 6 (six) semesters for Doctoral level (S3). Students must also participate in the Indonesian Language for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) program for two (2) semesters for those who still need to gain Indonesian language skills.

►Description

General Requirements
- Be a maximum of 21 years for the bachelor program.
- Be a maximum of 35 years for master’s program.
- Be a maximum of 42 years for doctorate programs.
- Be a citizen of Asian or African countries. (It is intended for other continents in the Specific numbers).
- Be able to provide the health certificate declared by doctors or hospitals registered in their respective counties.
- Not be a citizen of Indonesia, hold permanent residency in Indonesia, or be applying for a visa to live in Indonesia permanently.
- Not be a permanent or impermanent worker in Indonesia while studying.
- After completing the scholarship programs, it is expected to come back to their home.
Spesific Requirements for Bachelor Degree
- The maximum age to apply for the scholarship is 21 years old
- Hold a High School degree (please provide the scanned degree certificate and academic transcripts in English). Please be advised that Bachelor degree holder is not eligible to apply for the Bachelor Degree scholarship.
- Recent color photo
- Prove of citizenship by submit Official Passport, which is still valid for at least 2 years again.

Spesific Requirements for Master Degree
- The maximum age to apply for the scholarship is 35 years old.
- Hold a Bachelor degree (please provide the scanned degree certificate and academic transcripts in English). Please be advised that Master degree holder is not eligible to apply for the Master Degree scholarship.
- Recent color photo.
- Prove of citizenship by submit Official Passport, which is still valid for at least 2 years again.

- The maximum age to apply for the scholarship is 42 years old.
- Hold a Bachelor degree and Master degree (please provide the scanned degree certificate and academic transcripts in English). Please be advised that Doctor degree holder is not eligible to apply for the Doctoral Degree scholarship.
- Recent color photo
- Prove of citizenship by submit Official Passport, which is still valid for at least 2 years again.

Step to Apply
- Online Registration
Applicants are required to access https://online.umm.ac.id/ and change the website language to English. Applicants should select their level of education (Bachelor, Master’s, or Doctoral) and intended study program, then proceed by clicking Create Account. During the registration process, applicants must choose International Applicant, filled their graduation year, and complete the initial registration by providing their name, active email address, and phone number. After validating the data, applicants may proceed to the next stage.
- Application Submission
After successful registration, applicants are required to complete the application process by filling in personal information and educational background, as well as uploading all required documents through the admission system. Applicants must also complete the online psychological test by entering their applicant number and registration PIN, which can be found on the temporary e-card. Upon completion of the psychological test, applicants may download the updated e-card as proof that the application has been successfully submitted.
- Verification
All submitted data and documents will be reviewed and verified by the admission and International Relations Office (IRO) team.
- Interview
Eligible applicants will be invited to attend an interview as scheduled by the IRO team. The interview includes an academic interview for all applicants and a scholarship interview for applicants of the UMM Scholarship for International Students (sUMMit).
- Final Announcement
Applicants can check the final admission results by logging in at https://online.umm.ac.id/
- Enrollment
Successful applicants will proceed with the enrollment process and receive a Student Identification Number along with a Digital Student ID Card.
- Pre-Departure
Accepted students are required to prepare their departure to Indonesia and participate in language, cultural, and orientation programs organized by Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang.
