Monitoring and Evaluation of NAM Scholarship Highlights UMM’s Commitment to International Students

On 26 January 2026, the Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Scholarship was conducted at the Postgraduate Meeting Room, 1st Floor of GKB 4, Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM). The activity aimed to evaluate the academic progress and overall experience of the scholarship recipient during her study period at UMM. The session was attended by Luciana Firmin, a Master’s student of Agribusiness from Tanzania and recipient of the NAM Scholarship, along with the Head of the Master’s Program in Agribusiness UMM. Representatives from the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and officials from the International Relations Office (IRO) UMM were also present, reflecting strong collaboration between academic units and international partners in supporting international students. The monitoring and evaluation process took place in a warm and constructive atmosphere, allowing open discussion regarding academic development, challenges, and future plans. Through this activity, UMM reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring quality academic support and fostering a positive learning environment for international scholarship recipients, particularly those under the NAM Scholarship scheme.

UMM Welcomes KNB Scholarship Evaluation Visit, Strengthening Its Commitment to International Student Services

The University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) welcomed the Evaluation Team of the Developing Country Partnership Scholarship (KNB) on Friday, 14 November 2025. The visit aimed to assess the management system as well as academic and non-academic services provided to KNB scholarship recipients currently studying at UMM. The International Relations Office (IRO) of UMM served as the main host of the evaluation process. The evaluation team from KNB Diktisaintek consisted of Andita Pratiwi, AA Sodikin and Wahyu Hidayat. The Head of IRO UMM, Dr. Listiari Hendraningsih, MP, explained that UMM is currently supporting several KNB students from various countries and study programs. She emphasized that UMM continues to strengthen its international student services through systematic and responsive approaches. During the evaluation, the team reviewed various components, including administrative procedures, academic monitoring, immigration services, and the implementation of the Bahasa Indonesia for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) program. The assessment results showed that UMM’s services are well-organized and in line with established standards. Through this evaluation, UMM reaffirms its commitment to expanding global engagement and strengthening its position as a university that actively supports Indonesia’s higher education internationalization agenda.
